Children's Ministries

Our Mission
It is our goal at Cabot UMC Children’s Ministries to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which Bible-based programs offer opportunities for children to experience God’s love, study His Word, develop a personal relationship with Jesus and be prepared to tell others the Good News of the Gospel.
Programs
Discovery Hour Sunday School Program
Fun and exciting approach to learning about God’s Word, our team approach to Sunday School will help provide children with the keys they need to grow closer to God.
Nursery/Preschool/Kindergarten - Room 2: The Blue Room
This is an opportunity to introduce your young child to Sunday School. Miss Ruth and Miss Patty welcome infants through kindergarten to a room full of toys and good times. Each Sunday an age appropriate lesson and arts and craft time is presented. Preschool/Kindergarten children enjoy choir time with Miss Jeanie every Sunday, too.
Primary - Room 3: The Green Room
This lively class is for 1st through 3rd Grade. Here you’ll find Miss Amy, Miss Karen and helpers Miss Erin or Pierson ready to tell Bible stories and make a craft. The children will be learning to Live B.I.G. and will have choir time each Sunday with Miss Jeanie.
Intermediate - Room 4: The Purple Room
Here is the place to be for 4th, 5th and 6th Graders. This is a class led by Miss Shelly, Miss Michelle, or Miss Cathy. Along with a Bible lesson, there is always lots of time for interaction and special activities. The kids will be using the “Tween” level of the Live B.I.G. curriculum. They, too, will have choir time.
Cradle Roll
Provides welcoming material to newborns and their parents and follows their progress during the early days until the child enters the Sunday School program.
This program is primarily for children age four through 1st grade, held during the 10:30 worship service. The children leave the service after the morning prayer with an adult leader for a lesson, craft, and snack in the Children’s Worship Center. The children will return to the sanctuary during the closing hymn.
This is a program that meets monthly during the school year and includes Preschool through younger elementary age children. Stories, games, crafts, and special events attract kids from throughout the community for this exciting ministry.
This is our newest program which provides a time of fun and fellowship twice a month for young people in the upper elementary grades.
Summer fun containing worship, Bible Study, music, and crafts. This one week program is held each summer with exciting special events including a closing parent program and pizza party.
A wide variety of summer camping experiences are provided though the United Methodist Church. Scholarships are available.
