Music Ministry 

Music is a very important part of the worship here at Cabot United Methodist Church. If music is your gift, passion, or you just want to try something new there are several ways you can get involved to share your blessings with others. 

Adult Choir: This group is instrumental in providing weekly anthems to enhance our worship services. We are approximately 15 members strong but are always looking to increase our numbers.  If you love using your voice to sing praises to the Lord then come join us Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the choir room.  No experience is necessary just a willingness to learn. 

Special Music: During the summer months while the choir is getting a well deserved rest, special music replaces the choir anthem.  Sometimes a musician from the choir, congregation or friend from the community will grace our services with a special vocal or instrumental selection.  If you are interested in sharing your talents in this area please contact Bernice Silvis (music@cabotumc.com). 

Praise Band: This group gives a more contemporary feel to our worship services once a month.  It currently consists of guitarists, a drummer and vocalists.  They lead the congregation in a time of worshipping God through uplifting praise music.  The praise band practices Mondays at 5:30 pm in our sanctuary.  To be a part of this exciting ministry contact Pastor Matt (pastor@cabotumc.com) for more details.

We are in the process of the Malmark “Give A Bell” Program.

Bells are priced individually according to their size. You can buy a bell in memory or in honor of a loved one. There is a space on the handle of the bells that the names will be printed. This makes an excellent lasting gift to the church from your family.

Bells are priced to include tables, table covers, table foam pads, gloves, music stands, and music……everything we need to start our Handbell Program.

There is also a set of Children’s Choir Chimes available for approximately $1000. Moneys could be given toward this purchase also.
