It is our goal at Cabot UMC Children’s Ministries to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which Bible-based programs offer opportunities for children to experience God’s love, study His Word, develop a personal relationship with Jesus and be prepared to tell others the Good News of the Gospel.
Sunday School Program
Fun and exciting approach to learning about God’s Word, our team approach to Sunday School will help provide children with the keys they need to grow closer to God.
Preschool – Room 3: The Green Room
This is an opportunity to introduce your young child to Sunday School. Miss Anita & Miss Susan welcome children in preschool and younger to a room full of toys and good times. Each Sunday an age appropriate lesson and arts and craft time is presented. Preschool children will enjoy group time with Miss Erica every Sunday.
Primary – Room 4: The Purple Room
This lively class is for Kindergarten & 1st Graders. Here you’ll find Mr. George & Miss Rachel, ready to tell Bible stories and make a craft. The children will be learning to live the gospel and will have large group time each Sunday with Miss Erica.
Elementary – Room 5: The Orange Room
Children in 2nd & 3rd Grade will be excited to return each week to share in special fellowship time with Miss Amy, Miss Karen & helper Miss Erin. The children will be learning discipleship, Bible lessons and will share in large group time each Sunday with Miss Erica.
Intermediate – Room 7: The Red Room
Here is the place to be for 4th, 5th and 6th Graders. This is a class led by Miss Jeanie or Miss Paula. Along with a Bible lesson, there is always lots of time for interaction and special activities. These young people enjoy leadership roles during group activities. The children will enjoy choir and fellowship time with Miss Erica.
Kid’s Night Out
This is a program that meets the third Friday each month during the school year and includes children age 4 through grade 3. Stories, games, crafts, and special events attract kids from throughout the community for this exciting ministry.
Friday Night at the Light
This program provides a time of fun and fellowship twice a month for young people in grades 4-6. Don’t miss out on the fun! This program has Bible lessons, games & exciting outings. FNL meets the first and third Friday of each month during the school year. For more information.
Vacation Bible School
Summer fun fellowship with worship, Bible Study, music, science and crafts. This one week program is held each summer with exciting special events including a closing parent program and pizza party.
A wide variety of summer camping experiences are provided though the United Methodist Church. Scholarships are available.
