If you are looking for a place where your child can participate regardless of ability, can learn what good sportsmanship really means, and can learn it all in a great environment, then Upward Sports is what you have been looking for!
Upward believes that “every child is a winner” and treats them that way from the evaluation process to the end of season celebration night.
Who can play?
Our program offers basketball and cheerleading for boys and girls from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Children with physical limitations are able to play and we strive to accommodate their specific needs.
What happens after registration?
Evaluations: Skill evaluations are offered in November that give us information for a computerized draft. This system provides competitive balance for the basketball teams.
Practices begin in January and run for a total of 11 weeks (once your team/cheer practice time is set, it will remain on the same day and time for the season.
Games are played on Saturdays over an eight week period (8 games total). The oldest division plays early and the youngest division plays last (mid-afternoon). Again, games will always be in the same couple hours each day.
How do I register?
Complete the registration form and the medical release form and return it to the church with your payment.
